Czech Architecture Foundation: Tender for position Architecture Gallery Manager

The Czech Architecture Foundation announces a request for tenders for the position of Architecture Gallery Manager for the Czech Architecture Foundation exhibition spaces located in Betlemske Square, Prague for the period from 1 January 2018 through 31 December 2022.

The gallerist should build upon the previously established, lengthy tradition of architectural exhibitions, expanding the activities of the existing Jaroslav Fragner Gallery towards the Center for Architecture model. This includes presentations of significant domestic and international architects, acquainting the wider general public with the subject of architecture, and its incorporation into people's daily lives, towns, and the countryside.

We especially welcome applicants with an education in an architecture-related field with regional or international work experience in the presentation of architecture; opinion-makers with contextual approaches and vision, capable of initiating, managing and coordinating a broad scope of diverse activities; and experience in international cooperation and internationally funded projects.

The Czech Architecture Foundation will provide the gallerist with the exhibition spaces at a symbolic fee and support his/her activities through endowment contributions.

The application submission deadline is 26th September 2016. Documents are to be submitted by post to the office of the Czech Architecture Foundation (Nadace ceske architektury, Manes - Masarykovo nabrezi 250, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic). Please describe your education, work experience, and your vision for the gallery. Specific experience and intentions may be detailed through enclosed examples in print form, links to websites or other such documentation, which may include recommendations from distinguished personalities.

Interviews with candidates shall be held in October of 2016. A gallerist will be selected and announced by the Board of Trustees by the end of 2016.
