Web Art Center in partnership with Fonlad Festival, UAVM Virtual Museum and videoartKOELN presents the FAKE WEB FESTIVAL. Five special programs will be presented: Fiction Artist, curated by James Stiggweill; Fonlad 6 years, curated by José Vieira; UAVM Highlights, curated by José Vieira; Miss?..., Miss!..., video compilation by videoartKOELN, curated by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne and Viral Symphony by Joseph Nechvatal.
The Fake Web Festival is a web art colaboration festival project curated by José Vieira. The project is curated as art product with colaboration of other projects, festivals and museums. One man festival show (with significance colaboration of Fonlad Festival, UAVM Virtual Museum and artvideo KOELN and many artists), with presentation of five special events:

Special compilation by artvideoKOELN, video art platform located in Cologne. Founded in 2010 as the curatorial initiative 'art and moving images', artvideoKOELN represents the physical counter part to the virtual platform VideoChannel (2004), directed & curated by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne.
Within the [NewMediaArtProjectNetwork]:cologne, the experimental platform for art und new media, artvideoKOELN forms together with CologneOFF – Cologne International Videoart Festival, VideoChannel – the online platform for videoart, VAD – Video Art Database , VIP – Video Channel Interview Project and AdC Times Arts – VAC – Video Art Consortium – an unity within the global network dedicated to art forms of film and video. As the holder and coordinator of all physical activities, artvideoKOELN will be also responsible for the organisation of CologneOFF and its ambitious festival project 'CologneOFF 2011 – videoart in a global context'. video.mediaartcologne.org/

VIRAL SYMPHONY BY JOSEPH NECHVATAL
Since 1986 Joseph Nechvatal has worked with ubiquitous electronic visual information, computers and computer-robotics. His computer-robotic assisted paintings and computer animations are shown regularly in galleries and museums throughout the world. From 1991-1993 he worked as artist-in-resident at the Louis Pasteur Atelier and the Saline Royale / Ledoux Foundation's computer lab in Arbois, France on The Computer Virus Project: an experiment with computer viruses as a creative stratagem. In 2002 he extended that artistic research into the field of viral artificial life through his collaboration with the programmer Stéphane Sikora. www.nechvatal.net/
