GALLERY MANAGER/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

MOTINTERNATIONAL is looking for someone to manage its new Brussels Gallery. The position(s) available are dependent on experience but range from Gallery manager/Gallery assistant to Assistant Director.

We are primarily looking for someone who has had previous gallery experience who is interested in working towards the position of Associate Director within the gallery organisation or thinking of setting up their own gallery. The role requires a strongly motivated, responsible individual with a comprehensive knowledge of the art world to support the Director of the gallery.  The Assistant Director is expected to develop strong relationships with collectors, press, institutions and galleries and be capable of independent working. The candidate must also be fluent in the French and English language, with conversational skills in Dutch, Flemish and German being advantageous.
The successful candidate will be the Artist's Liaison and main point of contact for the gallery's artists in Brussels and is expected to take on a very proactive role in promoting and supporting those artists, working very closely with them in all areas, especially in overseeing exhibitions and outside projects.  The role involves significant administrative responsibilities which ensure the smooth day to day running of the gallery such as: finance, press, art fair preparation and preparation of consignments and loans
