Videoataq, Rio de Janeiro

VideoAtaq, VJing and visual arts now traditional event, whose three first editions were launched at Parque das Ruínas, in Santa Tereza, will be having a special edition on July, 26, 2011. This will be a pocket edition or a 'petit édition' as it goes in French, which will bring to Rio de Janeiro the French duo 1024 Architecture, who's touring worldwide with their show Euphorie.

1024 Architecture is a company created by Pierre Schneider and François Wunschel. The onset of their project was their very desire to make images, sounds and movement interact during multimedia performances. Their work is focused on the interaction between body, space, sound, images, art and architecture, presented in different formats: from audiovisual installations and urban interventions through videomapping, to performances and exhibits for small audiences. They are the parents of Boombox, Square Cube, Perspective Lyric, among many other amazing projects.

Euphorie is a 3d audiovisual performance based on the interaction between video, light, sound, space and the artists' bodies. This interaction is geared from the control boards that hold both low and high tech elements. It happens as the artists play their program or accidentally improvise, as in a contemporary theatre performance or electronic music show.

VideoAtaq night will count on many different audiovisual attractions: the young VJ Chico Abreu, recently back from his European tour, with an exclusive A/V; DJ Luizinho LBF, who lauches the excellent party Little Black is Fuck; the multitalented Donatinho playing in Solar's lounge, Az0iA Lab and #FolkatruaVJs collectives in an exclusive partnership with MC Fininho – artist Cabelo's project – what will make of the night a true sensorial immersion experience.
