SCREEN: NEW ONLINE ART GALLERY
Kulturhuset is one of the most important cultural spaces in Sweden since the start in 1974, located at Sergels torg at the centre of Stockholm. We present a massive amount of cultural events each year, including contemporary art exhibitions, concerts, literary discussions, films, debates, and more.
Screen is Kulturhuset's brand new online art gallery. Four artists have been invited to contribute artworks for the Screen launch: the British duo John Wood and Paul Harrison present their video 'One more kilometre', the Polish video artist Anna Konik is participating with 'Our Lady's Forever' and our Swedish artist Johanna Billing shows scenes from 'I'm gonna live anyhow until I die', an exclusive version of a video that will be finalised this Autumn.
This first period of works in Screen, by John Wood & Paul Harrison, Anna Konik and Johanna Billing, is up until May 5. Then Screen will continue with a new batch of artists.
In addition to presenting these new artists and their works, Screen will initially feature: Bonus material. Watch documentation of exhibitions at Kulturhuset. Eye on. Interviews with people doing interesting stuff on the web. We begin with the French artist Jérémie Brunet who creates digital fractal art.
