ArtWorks Open 2012 will run from 31st August to 16th September during the East London Arts Festival, E17 Art Trail, 1st - 16th September 2012.
The show will be selected by artists Kiera Bennett and Reece Jones.
The selection panel will award two prizes.
1st prize, £1,000.
2nd prize, £500.
In addition both winners will be offered the opportunity to use one of Barbican Arts Group Trusts' exhibition spaces for a solo show or to curate their own show including artists of their choice.
The Preview and announcement of prizewinners is on Thursday 30th August 6pm to 9pm.
Submissions are welcomed from artists working in any 2-dimensional media, including painting, printmaking, photography and relief sculpture. Dimensions for works including frame must not exceed 80 cm height and width.
