ORA is an art prize based in Venice, Italy. Its aim is to offer artists a practical opportunity to present their work to some most active Italian galleries. We are now preparing an International version of the prize, with a jury composed of 10-20 galleries from different countries, all over the world.
In ORA each of the galleries independently selects a winner who will be offered the chance to stage a solo show in the same gallery for two weeks. Naturally, all the galleries will not have any kind of expenses for this exhibition, at the contrary, we offer the curatorship of the event and the press office work of international level to be done by our staff.
In our website we present all the rules of the Italian edition of the prize (currently still ongoing). They will remain the same for the international edition, too. So, visiting www.premio-ora.it you can have an exact idea of our project and of the kind of collaboration we are asking for.
In summary, ORA wants to be a platform for creating new partnerships and a practical and active global network. ORA gives shape to new dynamic opportunities, working on the idea of internationalism and allowing both artists and galleries to find new partnerships in a simple, transparent and functional way.
