AN EASTERLY WIND IS BLOWING OVER ART PARIS ART FAIR 2013
THE SPRINGTIME EVENT FOR MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART IN PARIS
From 28th March to 1st April 2013, ART PARIS ART FAIR brings together 144 galleries from 20 countries under the Grand Palais. In 2013, the fair confirms its identity as the art event that focusses on the art scenes of the East (Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia).
RUSSIA, COUNTRY OF HONOUR
In line with its policy of exploring the art scenes of the East, Art Paris Art Fair has invited Russia as guest of honour. A central space in the fair will be dedicated to 11 galleries from a number of cities in Russia including, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don and Vladivostok while some 15 European galleries will show work by Russian artists. With around 90 artists represented, ART PARIS ART FAIR will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover Russian art, with work made by leading talents from the diaspora of the 1920s and 1930s, the non-conformists who opposed the Soviet power culture from 1960 to 1991 to the stars of the contemporary art scene.
ARTDESIGN PLATFORM
Artdesign platform is exploring the links and cross-over between design and contemporary art. Nine galleries have been selected to present one-of-a-kind, exclusive pieces made by contemporary talents. The Artdesign platform is supported by IDEAT Magazine
'PROMISES': A NEW SECTION DEDICATED TO YOUNG GALLERIES
This year ART PARIS ART FAIR is launching a new section entitled 'Promises' reserved for galleries that have been established for less than five years and who have never participated in the fair. Twelve galleries are taking part in this new initiative which aims to provide an opportunity to discover new talents. 'Promises' is supported by l'Officiel Art
LIST OF EXHIBITORS 2013
144 exhibitors - 20 countries - 74 new galleries
57% French galleries and 43% international galleries
SPRINGTIME IN PARIS
