Treignac Projet presents the first solo exhibition in France by Irish artist Bea McMahon.

The exhibition includes recent video works and drawings, selected from a wide-ranging practice that includes installation, performance and sculptural work. McMahon's work is often rooted in the artist's background in mathematics with its logical and quantitative systems of making sense of the world. The exhibition presents three video works, Cats (2011), Field (2010) and Audience (2006) together with a suite of drawings that the artist describes as 'shufflers of thought in flat formations'.

The exhibition forms stage one of the Treignac Projet exhibition programme 2013, curated by Matt Packer. The programme carries an umbrella theme of ritual cultivation, with particular reference to the region's history of meat production and Georges Bataille's writings on the nearby Lascaux caves.

Bea McMahon's recent exhibitions include In the House of Mr and Mrs X, Temporary Gallery, Köln, 2013, Root, Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, Dublin, 2012, All humans do, White Box, New York, 2012, A series of Navigations, The Model, Sligo, 2012, Warp and Woof, Centre for Contemporary Arts Glasgow, 2011, Flat Time House, Peckham, London 2011, Nothing is Impossible, The Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh 2010, True Complex, Void, Derry, and The Curated Visual Artist's Award at The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin, both 2008. She is currently a resident at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. She is represented by the Green on Red Gallery, Dublin and is included in the collections of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Office of Public Works and the Arts Council of Ireland.

Treignac Projet is a public exhibition space situated in a former factory on the Plateau de Millevaches, Limousin, France.
