Founded in January 2012 D'CLINIC is an independent, artist-run space designed to deliver a supportive community where artists can focus on their own creative practice and/or research.
We support art and artistic work through exhibitions, residencies and educational initiatives. With implementation of experimental programs we try to provide artists with a spirit of re-vivification, reformed sense of purpose and confidence in their own creativity. We prioritize risk and innovation.
With a vision of fostering creative boldness, risk and experimentation within the contemporary art production we created 3 residency frameworks for you to choose from, depending on what you wish to achieve while spending time in this extravagant European region.
MiXER : FOR CROSSDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION >>> a project fostering creative boldness, risk and experimentation within the contemporary art practice. The selected artists are paired up to work collaboratively on a new body of work. The 4 week residency ends with a PUBLIC PRESENTATION of the completed project & ARTIST'S BOOK is published covering the leading aspects of the collaboration.
NEW PROJECT : SHOVEL >>> looking for innovative, fresh body of work that will upon selection be produced/executed during a 4 weeks residency at D'CLINIC. WHAT WE HAVE: a (gallery) space, enthusiasm and other expertise for art production. WHAT WE NEED: artists with good ideas, willingness to work within unusual settings and a desire to share their knowledge. We support experimentation and originality and therefore give voice to works that otherwise have nowhere else to be produced or displayed.
TRACTOR : FOR INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH >>> Stay and work at an artist-run space designed to deliver a supportive community where artists can focus on their own creative research, share skills, interact or collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment free from constraint, harshness or formality.
