Join us at our opening reception for two exhibitions: 'Linear Elements' and 'Reframing Nature', on Sunday October 11th from 1:30 PM - 4 PM. These exhibitions will be on view from October 11th 2015 - January 3rd 2016.
'Linear Elements' features Alain Kirili + James Siena. Works by these two artists often use linear elements that, once assembled, take the shape of abstract forms and fields. These abstractions invite us to follow the artist's line like a path, to take a journey connecting us to ancient places, old friends, books, songs, or moments the artist has lived.
'Reframing Nature' features the work of Allan Wexler, who has made work focusing on what was called anti-architecture or paper architecture. His pieces on view at Omi embrace the question, 'What is architecture?'.
Free and open to the public.
And be sure to check out: 'JOURNEYS TO SCULPTURE': Wednesday, October 21, 6:30 PM. A dialogue between the artists moderated by David Cohen of Artcritical will take place at the New York Studio School, located at 8 W. 8th Street, New York, NY.
