28th festival of Les Instants Video

Les Instants Vidéo is an event dedicated to video art and electronic poetry with its multiple forms, monobands, installations, performances, multimedia…The 28th edition will take place this year, from November, 6th to 29th.

The title proposed is : You wanted me a virgin, I wanted you less dumb (stupid). The principal questions which will go through the festival are :

1) We are prisoners of our image of the other (the stranger, the poor, the other sex, the revolutionary, the poet…).
2) We are free every time we refuse to get caught in the dream of the other (the fascist, racist, sexist, moraliser, religious…).
3) It is time for the images to migrate and for ourselves to migrate in order to avoid stereotypes that make us monsters.

These statements will be approach through works of 253 artists (exhibition of video installations, projections, performances, debates...) from the 5 continents.

The event is made of different spaces of time. The International Encounters take place in Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille (from 6 to 11 of November 2015). Every year, this central part of the event welcome more and more spectators. The exhibition of video installations will lasts until November, 29th

DEBATES
Tuesday, November 10 (9.30 am – 11 pm), exceptional day of debates, programmings, performances, in company with artists, managers and users of social , cultural and Hospital ( Mental Health) structures, activists and freedom passionates.

This day will be rhytmed with 8 acts : In praise of diversity !/ The craziness of creating/ When a woman resists, she frees the entire humanity/ African presence/ Popular cultures and contemporary/ The desirable future of the infamous/ Palestinian presence/ Sounds that make sense

During the whole festival : visits of exhibition will be proposed et opened to everybody (freely) by reservation.

The festival is free.
