open call: UNPAINTED LAB 3.0 Munich 2016

HOW DO ARTISTS REACT TO THE DIGITIZATION OF OUR WORLD?

UNPAINTED successfully posed this question in 2014 with the premier of an international niche fair on the subject of digital art.

In 2016 we will re ask this question and hope to see you at UNPAINTED LAB 3.0 in Munich (February 2016) as well as at UNPAINTED art fair in Brussels (April 2016). At both events visitors will have the chance to engage with the works of leading international artists from the fields of computer art, interactive art, internet and 'post internet art' and much more. UNPAINTED provides a platform for everything that needs to be seen and that, within the general art scene, is given a stage far too rarely.

LAB 3.0 is a funding project of UNPAINTED, which supports artists only, both in their practice and in the placement of their work. 2014 this section drew over 30 artists from Mexico, China, the USA, Holland, and France, but also from the local region surrounding Munich, in order to present their work in sponsored booths, thereby enabling them to be a part of the first UNPAINTED fair.

2016: The selection should be relevant, display excellence, and provide impulse, and will be curated by the New York curator Nate Hitchcock in cooperation with artistic director Annette Doms. Together, they are developing a dynamic program, which reflects the art of our age in terms of form, content, and its use of and effects on technology.
