Rejmyre Art LAB is pleased to welcome applications for its 2016-18 [P]residency. The [P]residency is an ultra-high residency program that invites applicants to commit to a two-year period of uninterrupted, unmediated residency within the Swedish glass factory town of Rejmyre. [P]residents will be provided with an apartment, studio space and an auto-response message, for their voice and electronic communication accounts, indicating that, from September 2016-August 2018, they will be fully present in, and only in, Rejmyre. All those wishing to contact the [P]residents are free to visit them in person.
Rejmyre Art LAB offers an unparalleled experience of rigorous concentration on full and unmediated presence that promises to lead participants to new, un-contemporary modes and states of being. The program requires total commitment and emanates from a desire to create a space for a kind of 'professional suicide' that opens into unforeseeable artistic rebirths.
Rejmyre Art LAB's [P]residency is limited to one participant but is open to couples and families.
