The EAC seeks an artist or artist team to create a signature, super-scaled artwork for in an industrial / heritage setting. Located in the city's former meatpacking district, the artwork will be viewed by approximately 100,000 commuters and transit passengers daily. This $1million CAD budget is the largest to date for the City of Edmonton. The project represents a significant investment in North East Edmonton.
The North East Transit Garage public art competition is open to all Local, National, and International professional artists, and is held in accordance with the City of Edmonton policy 'Percent for Art to Provide and Encourage Art in Public Areas' (C458C).
Budget:
$1,000,000.00 CAD (maximum, all inclusive)
