Centro Huarte and hablarenarte: announce an open call to artists who currently live and work in England, Finland, Germany, Hungary or Ireland to submit a proposal to conceive and run a professional development workshop for other artists that should be centred around the theme of collaboration.

We see workshops as open formats that are oriented towards a common exploration and the search for a joint realization of ideas, but also as ideal spaces for the transmission of theoretical and practical knowledge.
This call is an opportunity for artists to explore their creative practice in a peer to peer professional development scheme through a collaborative activity. We welcome proposals from all creative disciplines with the sole condition that they should define a programme that needs to be realized in collaboration, thus giving participating artists an insight into the possibilities of collaborative art.
The workshop will take place in the last week of September 2015 at Centro Huarte (Pamplona, Spain). It lasts a minimum of three days and can be extended to up to seven days. Deadline for submissions is the 16th of August. The workshop will be supported with a 1000 Euro fee for the artist, plus materials, travel and per diem expenses.
Once the proposal has been chosen, the organization will issue a second open call among the local artistic community in order to invite a maximum of 12 participants for the workshop. The chosen artist will participate in this selection process.
This call is part of the European project CAPP (Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme), a research network around collaborative art and the proliferation of such practices.
CAPP is supported on a European level by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union (EACEA), and on a national level by Spain's Public Agency for Cultural Action (AC / E). European partners of CAPP are: Create Ireland (Dublin, Ireland), Agora (Berlin, Germany), Heart of Glass (Liverpool, GB), Kunsthalle Osnabrück (Osnabrück, Germany), Live Art Development Agency (London, GB), Tate Liverpool (Liverpool, GB), Ludwig Múzeum (Budapest, Hungary) m-cult (Helsinki, Finnland).
hablarenarte: is the Spanish partner in this European project. Together with the members of the national network ACVic (Vic, Cataluña), Centro Huarte (Huarte, Navarra), Medialab Prado (Madrid), Tabakalera (San Sebastian, Basque Country) we will implement the programme of CAPP in Spain.
