HOME and Lo Schermo dell'Arte Film Festival are delighted to announce the second edition of Feature Expanded, a unique training programme designed to support visual artists who want to make a feature length film intended for a cinematic context.
Feature Expanded takes place over six months, starting with an intensive residential at HOME in Manchester, 22–27 June 2016. The programme combines masterclasses, case studies, workshops, screenings, individual tutorials, pitching training and online follow up, culminating in a second residential during Lo Schermo dell'Arte Film Festival in Florence, 16–20 November 2016.
The course is directed by Leonardo Bigazzi and Professor Sarah Perks, with experts from across the film and visual art world including pitching expert Sibylle Kurz, screenwriter and script consultant Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten and producers Samm Haillay, Leif Magne Tangen and Jacqui Davies.

***Practical Information
Participants will be expected to have a proven academic or practical background in contemporary visual arts and significant experience of short film production and/or moving image practice.
The course costs 2,500 EUR full price, with 6 bursaries available. Cost includes food and accommodation both in Florence and Manchester. There are 12 places available.
