From 18 – 25 June 2016 the summer academy 'Learning Plays' will be held in Mülheim/Ruhr: four exemplary institutions – the St. Petersburg art collective Chto Delat with its School of Engaged Art, the artist-initiated Performing Arts Forum (PAF) in St. Erme, the Silent University, a knowledge platform for refugee academics and Vierte Welt Kollaborationen from Berlin – offer workshops in which they share their practice by practical means: What are the opportunities and obligations facing art, artists, activism, theory and theater in these increasingly dramatic times? What are the organic intellectual practices which are being lived?
