The Estonian Academy of Arts is now inviting applications for two-year international master's programmes:

- Design and Crafts
- Animation
- Interaction Design
- Interior Architecture
- Urban Studies
- Design and Engineering

The international master's programmes are designed for artists and designers with the ambition to develop and enrich their individual practice with cross-disciplinary investigations. EAA encourages bold experimentation, and students are able to take courses and workshops outside of their specialisations.

Established in 1914, the Estonian Academy of Arts offers a wide selection of curricula in the four faculties of Architecture, Design, Art Culture and Fine Arts. The curricula are constructed in such a way as to cultivate the analytical abilities and critical thinking of students who develop into environmentally and socially conscientious creators. The lecturers and instructors are professionals in their field — internationally recognised artists, architects, designers, historians, and scholars who provide unique, individualised study and personal mentorship in a quaint and synergetic atmosphere.

The departments are strong bodies of competence on their own, while facilitating interdisciplinary studies. Many faculties have been operating for close to a century. They have lengthy experience and historical continuity, yet also pioneer change in their field.

The 1,200 students currently enrolled at the Estonian Academy of Arts are taught by 83 professors, associate professors, teachers and lecturers from Estonia and abroad. Additionally, 38 workshop managers are on hand to assist the students. Studies take place in small groups of carefully selected students. The Estonian Academy of Arts values its low student to professor ratio, which creates a more personal, one-on-one approach to instruction.

The teaching language of the international master's programmes is English. Applications for the Autumn 2016 semester will be accepted until May 1, 2016. For more information about the specific programmes and to apply, visit artun.ee/masters or contact admissions@artun.ee.
