Susanne Pfeffer: Doing Exhibitions

Hope Recycling Station and Goethe–Institut in Prague would like to invite you to a lecture and discussion with Susanne Pfeffer, the curator of German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2017 and the director of Fridericianum in Kassel. Her exhibition trilogy Speculation on Anonymous Materials (2013/14), Nature After Nature (2014) and Inhuman (2015) introduced the artistic practice of a new generation of artists, also known as the Post-Internet Generation. In the exhibitions, she showed the interrelationship between post-internet art and recent currents in philosophy such as speculative materialism/realism or object-oriented ontology. This trilogy was awarded exhibition of the year 2014/15 by the Union of German Critics and generated a lively discussion, which is still relevant today. Susanne Pfeffer will follow up on this discussion in her lecture 'Doing Exhibitions'.
Susanne Pfeffer will be in discussion with Noemi Smolik, German art historian and art critic. The discussion will be in German with Czech simultaneous translation.
