The Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK) has extended the deadline for the submission of scholarship applications within the scope of the international promotion of young artists by the Federal State of Lower Saxony at the HBK Braunschweig.
Until 3 May 2017 (inbox date) young artists from all over the world can submit applications for one of a total of eight residency scholarships.
The Braunschweig PROJECTS program includes a monthly scholarship in the amount of 1,250 euros in the field of fine art (twelve months) and sound art (six months), a project-related subsidy towards the cost of materials and travels, accommodation at a live-in studio located in Braunschweig, and integration into a mentoring program. The scholarship ends upon the completion of a final presentation.
The Braunschweig University of Art is an internationally orientated art university with the right to grant doctorates and the right of habilitation. With 1000 students in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, ART.Education, Design, Aesthetics & Art History and Media Studies, the Braunschweig University of Art is one of the largest art academies in Europe.
