The Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD) is a public institute of higher learning under the authority of the French Ministry of Culture. Its purpose is to provide high-level artistic, scientific, and technical training for artists and designers. EnsAD has been a place of intellectual, creative, and artistic wealth for more than 250 years. It offers studies in 10 departments: Interior Architecture, Art, Animation, GraphicDesign, Product Design, Textile and Texture Design, Fashion Design, Printed Image, Photography/ Video, and Stage Design. EnsAD offersa 5- year program and is attended by 750 French and foreign students. Its diploma is recognized as Master's level. Approximately 50 student researchers and doctoral students are enrolled in the School's research center, EnsadLab, where several research groups work in fields of art and design. EnsAD is an associate member of PSL University (Paris Sciences & Lettres). As such, it participates in the SACRe (Sciences, Arts, Creation, Research) doctoral training program, whose goal is to bring artists, creators, and scientists closer together. With PSL's support, EnsAD also established the École nationale de Mode et Matière / Paris Fashion School by PSL (EnaMoMa) in 2017, in partnership with MINES ParisTech and Université Paris-Dauphine. EnsAD has implemented ambitious training and research programs. These include the Innovation & Know-how Program supported by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, the EC-AD Eco-design Program supported by Nespresso France, and the Arts and Sciences Program supported by the Carasso Foundation in partnership with École Polytechnique. EnsAD is a member of a broad network of international associations and is developing relations with 110 institutes of higher learning and art / design universities around the world.
