How do we present and communicate artistic research? What are the ideal conditions? And what is the role of curators, policy makers, audience, art organizations, institutions, … for new ways of sharing artistic research ?
During The Spring Thing, from 15 till 19 June, 25 artists and other practitioners will spend five days at Arc artist residency, deepening and interrogating their practices, discussing and proposing new ways of sharing artistic research.
How do we present and communicate artistic research? What are the ideal conditions? In what ways does artistic research forge specific knowledge and initiate new modes of being? Is artistic research a radically speculative discipline? And how can we celebrate it?
On Sunday 17th June we invite the greater Arc community and anyone who would like to join us in discussing these questions during a four-hour forum. We want to open the platform to different interested parties. What is the role of curators, policy makers, audience, art organizations, institutions, … for new ways of sharing artistic research ?
Afterwards we invite you to relax at our summer barbecue in the garden of Arc.
We look forward to welcoming you at The Spring Thing Forum!
