Depending on changing cooperations and conditions, the WRO Art Center offers residency opportunities for individuals working with technology and digital media. After successful residencies by Katharina Swoboda and Brigitta Bödenauer, this year we again invite creators based in Austria to submit their ideas for a workshop or other audience-engaging activity. Important aspect of WRO Res residencies is the direct interaction between artists and the community around the WRO Art Center, the connection to our art mediation program, as well as possibility of exploring the audiovisual WRO archives.
There's no age limit, nor gender preferences. We would like to collaborate with an engaged, self-reliant person with good communication skills, who enjoys team working in the field of audience-oriented, inclusive art practices.
Key words
sound art, media art, software, programming, archives, site-specificity, art mediation, communication, collaboration, artist's presence, social interaction, critical approach, live act, performativity
