Lecture by Bruno Muzzolini
Accademia di Brera, Milan
From May 21 until May 22, 2019
On the occasion of TAXI catalogue publication Bruno Muzzolini will hold the first lecture at Academia di Brera in Milan in 10 April 2019. The other three presentations will hold at Accademia delle Belle Arti di Bari, American University of Design Cairo and Faculty of Art and Design, Düzce in collaboration with Gaetano Centrone, Khaled Hafez and Ferhat Özgür.
TAXI is an ongoing site-specific project that takes place inside a taxi, for which each artist was invited to propose a sound piece to be played within the car. TAXI originates from Anri Sala's No Formula One No Cry, consisting of a soundtrack in which sounds of Formula One cars are heard along the barking of stray dogs. The presentation of Sala's soundtrack is done in different taxies around the world, from Frankfurt to Miami. The project is also accompanied by business cards that help establish direct contact with the taxi driver. Anyone interested can order the cab by calling the number on the card and asking the taxi driver to turn on the sound project for the duration of the trip.
Prologue: a conversation between Hans Ulrich Obrist and Anri Sala (the conversation was published in the first volume of 'Interviews' of Hans Ulrich Obrist).
