For the first time: on site and online!
The 2020 Summer Academy is reduced to two weeks due to the current circumstances. Therefore, for the first time in its history, the Summer Academy also offers classes exclusively online, for art forms which exist digitally and in social media (photography, video) as well as for theoretical courses. Classic artistic media such as painting, sculpture, etc. will be held on site and as hybrid formats, with the possibility for some students to participate from afar online.
About the 2020 Summer Academy Programme: New Horizons
The programme of the 2020 Summer Academy aims to tackle fundamental questions of art, text and curatorial production. Under the motto New horizons, the 2020 course programme seeks new possibilities for the creative artist, curator or writer to define their own position in the world in which they live now. How, in time of Covid-19, shocking consequences of climate change and unequal distribution of resources, can new horizons be conquered in each respective work?
