STAYING IN DIALOGUE: MAKING COLLABORATION
An Online Performance by:
Florian Berger, Christian Wodstrup Christiansen, Pauline Hosse-Hartmann, Ivana Lazić, Christina Noitzmüller, Sissi Petutschnig, Elisa Pezza, Michael Plessl, Roman Prostejovsky, Judith Raupp, Raphael Reichl, Johanna Tinzl, Ida Zahradnik, and Ella Zwatz.
What does collaborative working mean to artists, how do joint processes develop, how do collectives form? In 'Staying in Dialogue: Making Collaboration,' a course taught by Johanna Tinzl, students at the University of Applied Arts Vienna discussed these questions against the backdrop of readings by Donna Haraway and Rosi Braidotti. This gave rise to tentacular practices and a collective project. Themes such as 'making kin between species' (Haraway), Posthumanism (Braidotti), compost and collective working were examined critically, a compilation of the read texts and found footage was created, reassembled, and translated into other formats.
The result is a performance that will be presented via live stream at the Angewandte Festival. The performance is a virtual, collective collage using DJing and VJing strategies. In the spirit of Haraway's 'Sowing Worlds' it uncovers curious practices of storytelling, imagination, resistance, and worlding.
Online performance on the Angewandte Festival website (www.angewandtefestival.at):

CAMPING PERFORMANCE AND FILLING VOIDS
Intervention in Public Space by Gruppe Bussi (Department of Site-Specific Art students and others)
We, Gruppe Bussi, will occupy a vacant lot for four days during the Angewandte Festival. Vacant lots mark interruptions in the capitalistically ordered real estate market. Amateur lecturers will teach various workshops: show wrestling, autonomous sculpture making, archaeological excavations, skateboarding, underground graffiti (by Puber und Huber), solar cooking, and neighborhood walks. Many hands will be at work, and feet too!
Come visit us and get to know the neighborhood. Write us an e-mail at
lueckenfueller@gmx.at to learn about our location.
Duration: Tuesday, June 23 – 26, 2020, daily from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
At the end of the Angewandte Festival we will present fragments and documentation material of our collective being and working experience via live stream.
Presentation on the Angewandte Festival website (www.angewandtefestival.at):
Friday, June 26, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.
More details about the Angewandte Festival 2020 can be found on the project section of our website.
